Our videos feature technical professions and explain the core of some of the professions, explaining the tasks, responsibilities and conditions. The videos feature the professionals working in technical CEME professions, but as well young employees who are yet to develop their career paths in these fields. Additionally, the videos feature students and their school environment, showing you what kind of experience you will gain in technical schools.

Good practice examples

In Croatia, vocational education is in the process of modernisation. The best benchmarks for that are the best practice examples which feature new approaches and practices used.

One of the best-practice examples is the Technical School Karlovac with its Regional Centre of Competence.  In order to modernize its programmes in line with the labour market needs in CEME, Technical School Karlovac is currently developing its modernized curricula and equipping new laboratories and training facilities. In this respect, and with the aim to increase attractiveness of VET, the School is already engaged or is planning the following VET promotion activities: meetings with final grades pupils and their parents, organisation of visits of final grades pupils to technical companies, organization of fairs that connect employers and students with the aim to foster the entry into the labour market, and the organization of competitions for students of vocational schools. One of the envisaged activities within the development of the Regional Centre of Competence is launching of a student television (“KA-UČ TV”), with students participating in creation and broadcasting of television content (production and publication of videos and news) with the aim of promoting VET.
